I spent a day cleaning up last week and when it was finished, I decided to take some pictures with the thought of sharing my studio space. I'll say this again, it is not a beautiful, magazine studio. My space is a well loved, well used, space, lacking natural light, orderly areas or perfect organization. But it is mine and I love it and it is a happy place for me to be creative.
Here is my tour...
The area outside of my studio is unfinished still. It has a lot of storage shelves and they are ready to be painted, but I have not made the time to do anything with them. Someday... But I love walking into this room.
This is my side of the table. My hubby made this table for me out of two unfinished cabinets from Home Depot and a piece of plywood. I love that it is standing height for me.
Right around me I like to keep the things I use the most within arms reach.
So there are stamps and stamp pads.
I love this peg board.
I hang my stencils from the peg board. I think I'd like a shallow drawer for them at some point but this will do for now.
And my Target clearance find that is perfect for all those smaller sheet of letter stickers.
This is my set up for filming videos.
This is the girl's side of the table. The black shelves are all of their supplies which are hand me downs from me.
This is where I store most of my supplies. The white boxes are for product from the manufacturers I design for. I just keep the most current stuff in there so I know I am working with the right supplies. The wire baskets are were I store general supplies like ribbon, buttons, stickers, etc., that are not for any design team.
Except for this basket. I keep this one for my most recent purchases from Two Peas.
This is the inside of my Jenni Bowlin box.
And this is where my collection of Thickers goes. I may have a Thickers addiction.
My sewing machine has a permanent set up.
And my hubby also hung these Ikea shelves for me so my watercolors and mists had a permanent place as well.
I love the door. I tape all the extra photos that I print that are the wrong size or I get paint on them or whatever on the door. I love looking at this.
I have some cabinets against one wall too. Inside is where I stash stuff like my old Sizzix and dies, solid colored cardstock and random papers like plain vellum, tissue paper and graph paper. The drawers have extra adhesive and old stamp pads. The counter though has lots of great stuff.
Like washi tape and twine.
And my handy dandy typewriter.
Well, that is it my friends. My studio space. I know it is not perfect, by any means, but it is perfect for me. And I am so grateful that I have it. This room was supposed to be an office for my hubby but when he ended up not needing it, he set it up for me. He's awesome.
If you have a tour of yours, link it up! I'd love to see it.
Thanks for stopping by!
